They married in November 1974 and remained married until her death in 2013. To her, this was the best revenge she could get. When he was released, he proposed to her during an interview with the local TV station, and Linda agreed. Pugach was convicted for the crime and spent 14 years in prison, but this did not deter him from relentlessly communicating and professing his love for her.
